    Passenger Window nightmare

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
It just started making horrible noises when I tried to roll it up or down. It stopped working in the all the way down position so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't rain.

    Anyone seen this happen before?
    What a mess!!

I guess you kept upping and dowing the window while it was screeching?

    Re: Passenger Window nightmare

While not as severe, (I think) I have the same problem.

Verdict is that it's a window regulator. Should be a couple hundred to have fixed for you.

Now you know for next time, I suppose. That's how we learn.

    Re: Passenger Window nightmare

Definitelythe regulator, pretty typical of any car unfortunately. Happened in my old Jeep Liberty. What was worse about that was that when the cable snapped, it actually got tangled up in the door catch, and prevented me from opening the door, otherwise I would have replaced it myself. Cost me around $300 to have the dealer replace it.
