Transmission Problems/new pics

So the transmission on my '00 1.8T has been acting up and getting worse the past couple days. It's starting to shift early when I accelerate, and when I slow the car down and stop, it'll fall out of gear into neutral. Then when I try to accelerate again, it'll roll for a bit and then drop into gear with some jerking. I'm gonna go get a transmission flush and new filter because I was told it could just be a (low) fluid issue. You guys think it sounds like a different problem though? I am dreading the idea of it being a TCM or some sensor --> poor college student budget.

Oh I also threw some new decals on the side that are reminiscent of the special edition B7 S4 - what do you think? Sorry for the low quality - I took a quick shot with my iphone.

I know someone with the same issue. Tell me how the flush goes and if that fixes the problem.

Wow - I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but I changed my oil yesterday... It had been awhile since I did it myself, and awhile since it had been changed at all. (So it was pretty low)

So I drained it, changed filters, filled it up with oil, and then these transmission problems started.

Then I'm sitting here tonight with my girlfriend laying on me, and I'm thinking about it, and suddenly I realize what I did, and jump off the couch (startling her). I grab a flashlight and run out and crawl under the car to look, and sure enough: I drained the transmission fluid pan instead of the oil pan.

Yep. Stupid me. Luckily, it's been awhile since I changed the oil, so the oil levels were really, really low when I put the new stuff in anyways. And I only drove it down the street.

At least I'll never make that mistake again. Anyone know how to refill your transmission fluid?

DO NOT DRIVE IT until you fill it.

you need a 17mm hex to remove the fill plug and you are down at least 4 quarts, get audi recommended fluid.

haha that's funny shit. I can't believe you messed that up. Didn't you leak a shitload of oil when you pulled out the oil filter?

Yeah - I thought it leaked a lot... and I checked and the oil level was unusually high after adding more, but I thought I just needed to wait for it to settle.

wow glad you figured it out before it got expensive!

I bought a tahoe from a guy that did the same thing but didnt know it and thought the trans was dead. Turned out he just drained it too, i filled it up and was good to go, it worked out well for me! Not so well for him.

Also one of my co-workers did this too our company moving truck
