    BT piece together

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
To start out, please dont tell me to search because I have a little bit different situation than others.

Ok so I am wanting to go BT. I was thinking about a GTRS, maybe a GT28

    Things I already have:
    1. 034/ATP exhaust manifold
    2. Forged TIP, I would however like to eliminate a TIP, if possible
    3. Aprikol SMIC
    4. 034 240mm clutch 350hp/400tq holding ability(ordered, not installed yet)
    5. Beru CP's
    6. Bosch Tri-Electrode Copper Plug, Heat Range 5, Resistored
    7. 034 street motor mounts
    8. GIAC FXK04(can I get this flashed over to Revo or would this be an issue?)
    9. Neuspeed exhaust
    10. Carbonio intake (I would like to get rid of this and just get a filter on the turbo)
    11. Evo motorsports DV

    Things I need:
    1. Turbo (GTRS or GT28)
    2. Some sort of intake
    3. Oil and coolant lines
    4. Software (was thinking Revo, but what about Unitronics? any good?)
    5. TP/HFC
    6. 430cc injectors

Is there anything that I am missing? What about ideas about an intake or addition or deletion of parts that I may or may not have on these lists? Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: BT piece together

I was looking at this kit, but I need answers to some things.
    ATP Turbo Kit

My car is registered in Florida, so emissions is nothing to worry about. This kit is eliminates most of the emission stuff. Thats fine by me, but how is some of this stuff bypassed or deleted?

Any help on this is very much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Can't give you a ton of advise but I know that you will need a different TIP because the Forge isn't going to fit on the GT series turbo. Also will the Apikol be enough cooling for this set up?
    I'll keep my money,

& you can keep the CHANGE

yea, new tip, a fmic would be better, no go on the intake.

    Re: BT piece together

Might be a good idea to go w/software provided by a local tuner... makes it easier if something goes wrong. I agree w/A4natomical. Since you're in an area that gets warm, and the turbos you're looking at are larger than a K04, a FMIC might be a better idea. Skip the intake as well. Just my opinion.

    Re: BT piece together

I have the carbonio intake and I just dont like how much room it takes up. My TIP current is pressed up against the back of the headlight and the TIP has a hard time staying on tht turbo because of the angle. I like A4ringedONE8T's engine bay a lot. Thats sort of what I am looking for as far as neatness.

    Re: BT piece together

After seeing your OP post it appears that all you need it the GTRS turbo kit, test pipe, injectors and REVO software flash.

I used to run the full ATP setup that you posted and it is nothing but a nightmare. I sent you a PM about where you can get everything.

    Re: BT piece together

Would that kit that you linked me too give me a daily driveable 300 AWHP? Thats my goal.

    Re: BT piece together

Are you pretty hard on your turbo? I am not all the time, but I do enjoy getting on it.

What is the ave cost to put together a GT28/RS turbo kit? I am looking at my finances and trying to figure it all out.

Also would it be better with 550cc injectors or the Bpsch 440cc that Revo recommends?

    Re: BT piece together

    audi314,

This is why you will never see 300 awhp on 440 cc injector on pump gas, BTW i was very generous as far maximum injector duty cycle, fuel pressure and VE goes.

Then on race gas 300 awhp is doable..

But don't believe me search for 91 or 93 octane eliminator dyno sheet and you'll see for your self...

    Re: BT piece together

The Elims just dont move enough air to produce 300whp on pump gas. They can make 260-270whp on pump pretty easy. If you go REvo get the BT tune for the 550cc injectors.
