This wheel was removed from my 2006 A4 when I upgraded to a wheel with paddle shifters.

If you buy this wheel, is the airbag plug & play?

Yes, the air bag should be plug and play, but it you have questions call the dealer. I took the wheel off my A4 B7 and it was extremely easy. Two screws drops the airbag, one electrical plug and one large screw holding the wheel to the column. It took all of 10min.

Is it black or charcoal or brown? Pictures are hard to see...

I would guess either black or charcoal. If it's charcoal, it very dark. My seats and dash are black.

The wheel was off a 2005.5 A4 3.2 Quatto Tip. The wheel integrated with a RSN-E nav system, but I believe it will work with any stock radio. The left wheel adjusts channels, the right wheel adjusts the volume. The buttons are for the Bluetooth phone integration kit. Mode selects between radio and phone mode. Right button is the voice activated dialing.
