    Help...Car problem

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I was driving around the city yesterday and all of a sudden the car started to rev all by itself in neutral and in gear. I pull over to the side, turn off the car and restart and then the cel turns on. The car now is still reving, shaking in neutral and I hear a whistling noise. I had the car towed to the dealership yesterday and they are going to be looking at it but has anyone run into a problem like this or know what might be wrong. It is a 06 with the 93 octane chip from APR and Carbonio intake.

PCV valve? That's just a random guess.

I hope you put the car to stock before taking it in, unless you're cool with them.

Didnt have time to take the intake off but I did switch the program to normal. Hopefully they dont blame the Carbonio for anything.

If you hear whisteling and the car is revving on it's own it's a vaccum hose/line that either has a leak and is allowing air in past the throttle body.

Probably the PCV or a different part of the emmissions system.

Hope it is just the PCV and it is a simple fix.
