Tinted the tails...check it out

after having the vinyl tint in my house for about 4 months now, i finally decided to back it into my garage and do the install. this is the smoke vinyl film from www.headlightarmor.com. i blacked out the bumper lenses also.

-when i first bougt the film, i bought two sets because i wasn't sure what color i wanted. definitely sticking with this. i have another set "light smoke" still in the usps box and never even taken out. anyone want it? 50 shipped

I would go with the light smoke. I like red with a tint of black rather than black with a tint of red. But that's just me.

thanks pete, yeah i just ended up doing it by myself in the garage...i didn't want to bother your uncle either, and dun rite never called me back

as for the color of the tint, i think it's just the perfect shade because the bumper lenses are dark as well. it would look off with the bumper lenses blacked out and just a subtle looking taillight tint. i appreciate your opinions though. if you think this is dark, i had stealth black on my passat before the a4.

could you possibly show the differance in the two? between the realy dark one and the light smoke one? maybe have someone hold it near the dark one...not sure how

Matt did u hear what happened at Bellmore car show last night?? There was a guy in a 10 Second Z06 with Nitrous revving his engine all night long, showing off his nitrous and even had a blown up copy of his 1/4 Time slip. Well after showing off all night long he went to do a burn out when pulling out of the parking lot and the tail came out and he hit a parked car jumped over a curb and landed in the back of a auto shop. Everyone was making fun of him, he was so embarrassing. Most action of seen on LI in months, lol.

I think its alittle too dark, but thats just me. Also you need to scrape off those badges. Have you thought about just colormatching your reflectors? The dark ones you have stand out against the white paint...

its kind of hard to show the difference by holding it up. search the threads there are many light smokes. personally i like the look of the smoke.

darin1274, i'm debadging them next weekend or this week. i could've done it yesterday, but the tails were really pissing me off haha. i like the way the black stands out on the white. i do have the titanium package, so it matches the theme of the car.

i like it. white/black=sexy. PM'd about the extra tint! I would say he has no more then 35% tint on his windows, if that. NY has some crazy tint laws.

Tails are a little too dark for my taste, but they go with the flow of your car. Those S4's aren't goin to look right, you need some black mirrors....

i think they're just the right amount of darkness for the car. yeah i know what you mean about the s4 housings. they wont look right. and yes i am going to buy the ones you have. i just need to recieve the s4 housings first then ill be set.
