Added Sline Knob, and RS4 Handbrake (**PICS**)

just got these parts this morning from VAGparts.. took forever for them to get the right part number for the sline knob but they finally came through.. here is a few pics... FYI to anyone who is going to install either part, be careful when your pulling with all your strength.. i got nailed with the shift knob right below my right eye !!! lol ... like Mike Tyson layed a serious uppercut right to it. luckily threw ice on it right away , should be all good ! too funny my brother was helping me out and was almost pissed in my car laughing so hard. any way here are the pics.

Also recieved the sline foglight inserts for the bumper.. so that will be my next project .. upgrading to sline bumper.

P.S. my old handbrake and shift knob are going up for sale too.

Looks great. what did you have to do to change the handbrake? did it just pull forward and come off or is there a trick to it?

The RS4 handbrake matches the knob really well. I wish they would have included it with the S-Line trim.

there is a little clip on the bottom. you have to lift the armrest, then pull the ebrake and get a skinny flat head screw driver and bend the clip and pull forward. with a few hard tugs it should pop off.

they match really well , love the look and feel. also adding 20+ hp, its for a great mod

To ask about the other end (the shifter), how do you get that off? I would like to swap the shifter but I am not sure how.

Re: Added Sline Knob, and RS4 Handbrake (**PICS**)

its actually quite easy, put the car in N , throw the ebrake on so u dont roll, right below the knob there is a medal tube like piece, unscrew it, u should feel a click, then just give it some force and pull it down one click. Like the diagram below. The part that labeled #2 just gently pull on it, i would reccommend using a tie wrap like in the pic because after you pull off the knob and the button goes back in it will be very hard to get the button back out. Once you put the tie wrap on, pull up on the knob and watch out for your EYE ! .. lol

Then just put on the new knob and pop everything back in.
