How did I get a puddle of water in my car with all the windows up!??

So it rained really hard last night while I was at a meet made sureeee all the windows were up! As Im leaving I hear some swishing around and notice my feet are a little wet so I start feeling around (while driving) and notice my rear driver side is flooded!

So this first thing this moring took it up ti 7-11 to vacumm the hell out of it, theres still water underneath the carpet.

How do I get the carpet up?

Anyone have any clue is to how this maybe had happen? Its rained harder before and no problems example (3 hurricanes)

Any input is appreciated!

Sunroof drain channels are probably clogged up... Try to see where the water came from.... Should see some traces...

mine was just leaking through the grommet in the engine bay where the hood release cable goes through.....the drain under my battery was super clogged and water was filling up 1/2 way up my battery and ecu and stuff....no good

might want to check that, where it dripped from went right in front of my dead pedal and then into the rear for a nice puddle

no way....i just took some clear silicone from a tub and "patched" it...its held up nicely since

I see and if its my sunroof drains just shoot some compressed air in the drains??

There is a write up some where on cleaning out the drains. It says to remove the rear bumper and run a cable up the drain toward the window.

Also I've been on here a few months and have seen 2 or 3 (1 I created) about this same subject. They just have weird titles.

Actually, this is very common, I read about it all the time. Even if you don't see it on here, it doesn't hurt to search. EOD, I hardly call that bullying him, you need to toughen up a little bit if you think asking someone to search is bullying. Also, EOD, BurntAudi was actually very nice in taking him time to post a bunch of links for the OP. I don't think the word bully means what you think it means.

BurntAudi, I think we can agree it gets annoying.. but theres no stopping it. If people feel like answering a question that comes up all the time, then so be it. We can simply ignore threads that we think are repeated all the time.

Mine still leaks a little. I cleared the drain under the battery made sure the hood release cable wasn't leaking, also the grommet in the ecu box. You should check the seal that connects the under hood plastic battery cover area to the windshield. Mine was pretty off and help with the water.

seriously? "Here we go again...Try searching this gets asked every time it rains." and "You might wanna pull your head out of the sand then if you've never seen this posted before." ... i mean im glad burntaudi has the all-seeing-eye but he doesnt need to get upset at others who do not

those two comments sound more sarcastic and assholeish and uncalled for than helpful....the 16 links he posted were more of an "i told you so" to drive his point home rather than an effort to be informative

ive been on car forums since like 2001....im just way sick of the "use the search button" comments....theyre just not worth it....people should be on these boards to help, and generally everyone is....but why not just give a comment or an idea instead of pointing fingers and saying "search", saying that just wastes everyone's time......if he posted a few links in the first place that would have been a help...but instead it was used as retort

and if you dont want to look at the thread then dont, like you just said you wont ....although, you are apparently knowledgeable so ignoring people in need seems a little lacking, but it does however show your maturity and how much you are willing to help people

EOD-5 I guess you have me all figured out. Just chill your the one making a bigger deal out of my posts than it needs to be. Yes I do get tried of answering the same question over and over. But I don't mind as long people at least put some effort into searching first.
