Re: Searchin for an A4 for my buddy

Lets see a b5 2001 is 7 years old... x avg 15,000 mi per year = 105,000 miles.. might be a little bit difficult to find one around 40,000mi. now 80k would be if the owner drove it less than 12k year...

Re: Searchin for an A4 for my buddy

did you mean to post this in the b5 section?`if so, good luck finding one with 40k or less. i bought my 01 with 50k, with every single option (winter, sport, premium) for $10,000 and i think I got extremely lucky... so it's possible to find one with low miles and for a good price, but it may take your friend a long time and a lot of searching.

Re: Searchin for an A4 for my buddy

I am not actively looking to sell, but if I can sell it without parting it that would be better for me. Technically, my cars are always for sale, haha. Comparatively, my car is low mileage for an '01. I am also well aware that I could part it out and get more cash in my pocket... The car one first place at Waterfest the year before last, I didn't attend last year. I have almost all of the parts to put the car back to stock (save for some hoses) so all of that would go with the car too.

    Quick Details:
2001 Audi Quattro 1.8t Manual "sport model"
A/C, cold weather package, etc. etc.
Cactus Green Pearl (kinda rare OEM color)
Just under 70,000 miles (like 69 and change)
No major dents, never been in a collision
Never had any major engine problems

If I return the car back to stock, I could probably get around $9500 or so for it, if your buddy is serious, shoot me an offer via PM and we can discuss how much I'd let the car for as it sits mods and all. Again, I know that I can sell some of the mods and part it out, but if someone wants it as it sits that's much more convenient. I am in no hurray to get rid of it. The bumper and the headlights alone are worth a good amount of money...

The Mods (I will list what I can remember...heh):

OEM RS4 Front Bumper w/ Fogs - has some scrapes, the car sits kinda low. And there is a small chunk missing from the underside of it (I have the piece it can be repaired)
    OEM S4 sideskirts
    OEM S4 rear valance
OEM E-Code S4 HID Headlights w/ 50watt bulbs and ballasts
    (2) OEM RS4 Grills (one paint matched, one stock)
MHW Smoked Rear E-codes (I have the stock taillights too)
    RaceTec FMIC
AWE K04 Kit w/ GIAC Chip
2 Sets of 18" wheels (Audi Nuvolari reps and Axis Supermesh, both have curb rash :()
    H&R Coilovers
ECS Stage 1 / A8 Brake kit on the front
    Test Pipe
    (2) Autobahn Racing CIA's (one is brand new still in the box)
    Aluminum Gauge Rings
    Color-matched Beltline trim
Stereo has been replaced with a mix of Alpine, Boston Acoustic, Kicker and PPI stuff
    Stratmosphere Short Shifter
    Smoked Sidemarkers
    Borla Exhaust
    Color-Matched Engine covers w/ a modded B6 drivers-side cover
    One half polished intake manifold
One extra throttlebody (was going to polish that too)
    ...
and some more stuff I am sure that I am forgetting.

    The Bad:

    - I have the Timing Belt / waterpump / tensioner kit for it. Just haven't had the time to drop the car off. It is a little overdue, but I don't really drive all that much.
    - One rear wheel bearing is going bad, but I again have the parts for it. In fact, I have parts for both rear wheels just in case.
    - Like I said above, the bumper has a small piece missing. I have it, it would just need to be fusored back on. The front bumper has been repaired for me once already. (still looks awesome)
    - Car has the usual small scrapes that would need some touchup, and as far as dents, there are maybe too very small dents on the car (one on the hood, and one on the passenger-side rear door)

    The Good

Aside from all the mods, and not ever having a major engine or mechanical problem? The car is DBW, and these new turbo kits out now would make the car scary fast..

I also have a VAG-COM that would go with it, I am just not sure where it is.

Uh, no I have the original bumper still. But OEM RS4 front bumper > OEM A4 Bumper as far as looks I think.

Edit: As for your exact question, no the car has never been in an accident. I did have a problem with a wheel coming off (few years ago, I posted the damage here on AZ), so a fender has been replaced, S4 liners are now in place as well as a stud kit instead of the wheel bolts. Aside from that, that car has been perfect. Seems that people always post problems about their cars, but I have never had one.
