    The Car That Miramar Built

Sup gents. I picked up this '03 a couple of weeks ago. This is a daily driver, since my toy only gets about 11 mpg. Originated at Commonwealth Audi in Santa Anna, CA. Now resides in Parker, Colorado. I have a vision that is my Audi, and unfortunately, out of the box, this one is not it. But we will get there! Project one, is the interior, as I obviously spend the most time in there. BS'n with the parts guy at Miramar Audi, he told me that the normal clientel around there is little hot bodied college girls drivin' the car daddy bought them. And was not surprised that the soft touch interior of my car was pretty much shot. So thats what we set off to replace. Here are some pictures of the horror. Think, well manicured nails. Every edge of the console looks like it was scrubbed with a Brillo pad.

If you know me, that is just not gonna work. I pretty much had to replace everything and I did. The parts have been trickling in thanks to Miramar Audi in San Diego, CA. Great customer service there, I'd recommend that place to anyone. Now I'm not a completely looney, so some of the parts were second hand. But the bulk of them are factory fresh.

Re: The Car That Miramar Built

Climate Control and Symphony are temporary. I eventually plan on RNS and Heated seats. But they are both in great shape, and will work for now. Thank you AZ Classifieds. Also scored the S4 shift handle off of here. Also, as you notice, I have the basic Swing interior trim in there. Not a fan at all, so all of that came out. I know I am in the minority here, but I love some of the wood interiors. So I have Birch Gray S4 trim enroute. I plan to install all of this over the weekend if the AZ member managed to overnight the trim as I requested. Really hoping he did, as I do not want to drive around with my car torn apart for another week (my trim was shipped out to him on Tuesday). I will update this thread with more pics as I get stuff done..........

It's Dolphin. I have a few shots, but I'm about as happy with the outside as I am with the inside. I'll wait 'til I tweak some things to throw those up.

For anyone curious, thats $685.22 worth of Dealer parts. And another $465 (trim included) worth of AZ parts.
