NEW RS4 In Town, w/some minor mods by GMP

Audi B7 RS4 Cabrio, The car is quipped with a Smart Top Controller, We painted the Factory 8piston Brembo Brakes Lamborghini Gallardo Orange and replaced the RS4 decal with a Brembo Decal and painted the decal Avus silver which is the color of the car.

there isnt a big brake kit for teh rear via brembo so he didnt want to bring attention to the very small rear caliper so we left it black.

What about M3 convertible? M6 convertible? SL63 convertible? Should they have made production? I like the RS4 convertible. Great car that offers even more flexibility than the standard saloon. A real all season car with spectacular performance.

M6 is a two door anyhow, so it looks good, and makes sense... i think a S5 cabrio would be sick.... coupes turned convertables is how it should be done, but turning a sedan into a 2 door convertible is retarded IMO. they should have given the A4/S4/RS4 cabriolets another designation. but the RS4 should have never been made in a cabrio. i just dont get it

Sounds nice in principle (2-door RS4 convertible) but it looks like a box with 4 seats. The lines of the doors are very unsporty/un-coupe-ish and it just doesn't work.

As for your meddling and adding 'mods'...well, my sentiments have already been expressed by others.

While I agree with you, you're not taking into account the fact that Audi clearly went after a slice of the cabrio market. Given that up until now (B8) there was no Audi coupe, I think Audi did a fine job deriving the cabrio from the B7.

That said, I think most car enthusiasts would rather have a coupe/hardtop over a cab in a performance car, myself included. I would never buy an RS4, 911, Ferrari, Lambo, M3 or any other performance car in cabrio. I guess that's why you can count the number of people with cabrios that post here and on the A4 forum in one hand.

To the OP: On the brakes, do whatever turns you on, but if you want feedback, the car looks unbalanced with that massive "hey look at me" caliper in the front and nothing matching in the back. If they were matched, maybe you could pull off the orange on an aggressive blacked out car but on the more "classic" (dare I say feminine?!?!) Avus silver with light interior cab, they look out of place...kinda gotti.

IIRC there are only 300 cabs around. I saw one at the dealer and to be honest its a good looking car.
Audi just had a few B7 Vert body's laying around and figured they could sell em by slapping an RS4 badge on em

Hey guys I hope everyone had a good weekend, first I wanted say that I appreciate everyones response and taking a look at our photos. I know not everyone likes the color of the brakes and probably thinks that we shouldn't have posted it. Please understand that we are not bragging about our work, we are simply posting to show the public what you can have done at GMP. As far as colors and stickers and all that goes, this is all decided by the owner of the car.


The smart top controller when installed allows you to open and close your top and your windows with your key fob. I doesn't require a new key or anything simply gets connected to the factory top controller behind the speaker panel next to the passenger rear seat. It also allows you to one touch the top button in the center console. Normally you would have to hold it down.

As for the brakes, the reason why the customer wanted to swap out the RS4 label for a Brembo is that he is a big fan of Brembo, He had B7 S4 with Brembos on it before he traded it in for the RS4 and his wife drives an Audi A8W12 with the big 8 pot front kit. And since the front brakes on the RS4 happen to be Brembo's he thought they should have come with a Brembo sticker like some other car companies do from the factory. He decided not to the rear because the caliper was so small and didnt want to bring any attention to it and we are currently waiting on Brembo to see if they can make a rear kit to work without losing the E-Brake.


We also colored matched the front side markers as well on this car.

Sorry for the rant, but I've always felt that all Audis look great off the showroom floor and it takes someone with really good taste to make it look even hotter without compromising performance or comfort. Clearly this owner is not such a someone :)

Thanks for realizing that we just did the work and that's it. The customer picked out the details and we just made it happen as per the customer's request. So thanks again for realizing that, it's too bad others didnt before they posted.
