I upgraded to B6 S4 brakes, so the stock brakes from my '02 A4 are up for sale. This setup had seen 40,000KM or 25k miles and the brake pads were replaced under warranty 5000KM or 3k miles ago.

$50 + shipping. I will not separate them because you can get them all for $50. No rotors, unless you want 25k-mile old rotors. Pics upon request. Thanks.

    SOLD!!

Have you noticed a difference with the S4 brakes? What made you decide to do the rears? (I hear it's pretty expensive)

Oh yeah, the difference is quite significant. There is considerably less brake fade. The initial pedal feel is more or less the same (ie mushy) because I didn't upgrade the brake master cylinder, but as soon as it starts biting, you can literally feel something in front of the car is trying to stop you. A piece of paper once was sent flying from the passenger seat when I braked heavily.

The seller was unwilling to separate, so I got both.

Glad to hear the upgrade worked. I only upgraded to B7 fronts and I think the pedal feel is a bit better. I can lock up my fronts now (before ABS kicks in) and I'm wondering if there's a bit of imbalance in brake bias.

I thought the master cylinders were the same. Have you heard of anyone upgrading?

B7 fronts are very similar to the B6/B7 S4 setup, so they should give you more or less the same braking power. I went with both fronts and rears at the same time and hence can't tell you whether there's a difference in bias between fronts only and fronts/rears, but I can also lock up the fronts.

I don't know if you've noticed, but before the upgrade, my rears used to dust much more than the fronts. Now, the fronts dust more than the rears. I guess that says a thing or two about the bias. In theory, your setup is front bias as of now because the B6 rears suck big time, but i think it's fine.

Jet Jockey has been looking into upgrading the master cylinder on his B6, but IIRC it's much more complicated than plug-and-play. A few have done the S4 master cylinders and have yet to publish a DIY thread.
