Hmmm, I'd say some spacers to push those wheels out a little bit and you'll be golden. I'll give you props for originality.

Now see, I disagree with this, and it's solely from personal experience. I had rubber band tires on another car. Driving home from the mountains here in NC, hit a pot hole, no more wheel. The tire didn't offer enough protection, cracked the wheel like an egg. I prefer to have a little more rubber under the car...

Re: some new pics of my car with the new rims..

with the right set-up those wheels would work!
rims look way small, maybe because they are actually one size too small, the spokes are too fat, stubby, and short, and those meaty tires just doesnt give it that unique look.
    and spacers.
    What offset did you get?

Wow, I hope you never have to take a corner hard in that thing. That just looks ridiculous. Nice car, but those tires look like they're holding on for dear life. Seems like if you go around a bend hard, you'd be riding on the wheels.

who gives a shit? it looks fucking badass, end of story.

my point is that he needs to poke and stretch for those wheels to look right, did i ever give two shits about driving aggressively? if you're driving aggressive, you might as well wrap your stock 17's in aggresive rubber

X2...I have aggresive rubber on my 17's...guess that makes me one of those douchebags

Back to the rims...not really my style but all that matters is that you like them...being unique is a good thing

I fail to see how stock 17s make you look like a douchebag since it's STOCK. If anything at least it's not what almost everyone ELSE does including you... heavy 18s or 19s slammed so close to the ground you rub/scrape/bottom out on any type of hard cornering, but then slap on performance mods. Why put performance mods if you can't even turn? Performance for what? You're going faster then you have to slam on the brakes cause there's a bump on the road [/rant]. Not that i have anything particularly against all style mods, because it looks nicer slammed with nice wheels, but you can't justify mocking the guys who stick to 17s and put performance rubber. It's hypocrisy.

not everyone drives like a maniac on the open road. I did what i did because i like the way my car looks and drives. Sure i haven't taken it to a track, but how many people on this forum do? i drive like a granny 80% of the time and enjoy my 20lbs of boost from my gtrs on the off-chance i feel a little throttle happy; i don't carve canyons or go "tokyo drift" out there, some people just like to cruise.

some prefer looks, some prefer go, some prefer both. there are times when things go hand-in-hand, and i'm merely pointing out that certain things must be done to make the look complete. but hey, what do i know, i'm just an analyst.

That's highly a matter of opinion. Some people classify black painted metal roofs, bumper attached splitters and aftermarket taillights as rice. Everyone can do their thing, sure, nothing wrong with that, but calling others sheep and douchebags for not following the predictable "slam it, put big ass rims on it" formula is hilariously hypocritical.

some prefer looks, some prefer go, some prefer both. there are times when things go hand-in-hand, and i'm merely pointing out that certain things must be done to make the look complete. but hey, what do i know, i'm just an analyst.
That's exactly my point. People have different tastes and different functions they want to accomplish with their rides. Therefore how can you call douchebags if they have 17s with good rubber? They can say the same for you, who mods for show. Anyway, not arguing here, just wanted to point out that it's a little strange that you said so-and-so are douchebags. Apology excepted.

You DO have a nice ride btw, although I would never ride at that hight personally because of the driveways I have to clear at work, but I can still appreciate it when I see it. And I am one of those people who have gone to the track although I haven't gone in my S4 yet.
