My opinion is that alignment is good for your car.

    Re: Alignment?

Do the alignment as soon as possible....

Look what happened to my tires in only 2 months, because I didn't do an alignment after installing H&Rs / Bilsteins.

    Re: Alignment?

    Get the alignment.

I had a strut go out on my truck RIGHT after I go an alignment done (or was leaking/shot when they did it). After I got it replaced the shop rechecked my alignment for free.

If you do decide to wait, I wouldn't wait more than a few days.

    Re: Alignment?

My OOOO My, those pics are hard to look at, did they find anything broken when they did your alignment? I haven't had mine done yet after installing my Coil-overs, but my tires are looking good, no accelerated wear so far.

    Re: Alignment?

I would wait 5 days to a week before doing alignemnt after a c/o install because the thing settles. If you do it immediately after install, it will knock out of whack after it settles more. Mine settled more than 1/8' in one corner and not at all in another over a week's time.
In addition, front camber can't be adjusted anyhow.
I went two weeks of driving every day with Vogtlands after install with no tread loss and no worries.
I dropped from sport height to about 25.5 (with 19" 245/35 tires) and my alignment was not that out of whack when I had it done. They pretty much adjusted some toe and a little rear camber and that was it.
My gut feeling is that if the tires wore that bad from nothing other than dropping the car a little, then the alignment was a mess to begin with.
Also note that they will not be able to get it back to factory specs. Do search for the Stasis specs, and make sure to print that out and take to your alignment guy so he isn't trying to get it to factory specs. 'Cause it ain't gonna happen. Since dropping affects the camber, you're pretty much left with whatever the front camber is (unless you get bushings or find some used CPP control arms).
Try to get alignment done with you in the car and as much gas as you normally run. If they don't let you in the car, then put sandbags or something on the left side to weigh it down a little.

    Re: Alignment?

just drive normally. IF its bad then your alignment is off to begin with. If it is correct with factory specs then dropping it and driving normally for a week to settle then alignment will be fine. Just don't do anything stupid

    Re: Alignment?

I voted settle then do the alignment but you shouldn't drive hard on it for at least 2 weeks while the springs are settling. Then get a full alignment and you'll be good for a while. You will obviously need another one later on. Springs will normally droop up to a few inches on any car over the years so it is important to check your alignment settings regularly, especially when you are utilizing full travel of your suspension.

    Re: Alignment?

Thanks for all the responses guys! Love this forum. I think im gonna let it settle but just scared my tires are gonna end up the ones above. So on our cars is there anyways to do minimal adjustments ourselves if it looks out of wack?

Also will each spring/shock settle different that i have to readjust all fours after the break in?
