    Re: Staggerd fitment

Basically what it comes down to is peformance and quattro.

First: Performance - The s4, with its beautiful, though heavy, front end tends to understeer a bit. When you run a wider fitment on the rear than in the front, you will increase understeer slightly.

Second: Quattro - In order to keep your quattro in good running order, you have to make sure that the rolling diameter of your front tires and rear tires are within 5% of each other. It's been done plenty, and I've never heard of anyone having problems resulting from it.

Consensus: With a staggered setup, you can get it to work, but you will sacrifice some performance.

someone said it was from 06 and up, but who knows.

i run a staggerd wheel width setup, however i kept the tire size the same. front and rear, and i havent noticed a big increase in oversteer. i think a rear h-sport bar will take care of that though.

    Re: Staggerd fitment

I went with 8.5" up front and 9.5" out back with a H sport rear sway. The way I see it, I'm never going to track the car or set up cones on the way to work so I can take some 90 degree turns @ 60 so it didn't matter to me.

Staggered lips look sick on our cars to boot :)
