Anyone know whats the part number 6 Disc changer (just the plastic insert tray)?

    Hi,

Does anyone know what the part number would be for the Plastic DVD tray that the 6 disc changer fits in?

I have an IPOD adapter now but I think I want to get rid of it to put a DLO homedock (another ipod player). I feel that space would be perfect for the DLO & if the tray that slides in the glovebox were DVD size, that would fit easy.

How do I find out the part number for just the tray?

    Thanks,
    Rich

Uh dude get a dock extension cable and hook the DLO to the OEM Ipod dock, and bury the DLO where people are hiding the BT module. No visible changes to make, IMHO. working on mine now BTW.

Can you give me a little more information? Where is the BT module hidden?

Are you controlling it all from the RNS? Can you access all the videos & everything else?

I am reading elsewhere that you have an IMA as well (navplus). How did you hook it all together?

Im not sure I get how you did it, when I look at my Ipod adapter, I dont see anywhere to hook the DLO to the OEM jack (it has a plug in the back). How do you get the DLO cable into that plastic piece?

    This is very interesting!!

On a side note, where did you snag the power for your DLO?

Can you point me to a proper part that would fit? This is a great idea! It makes much more sense than having the DLO sitting there (if I can do it).

I probably need you to walk me through this, but i will throw out some photos.

This first one is of the actual plastic piece:

This one shows the back of that OEM dock with the back unscrewed & unplugged:

This next one has the DLO opened, & the OEM opened. The DLO cable is much smaller than the OEM cable. I dont exactly know what to do to make it all fit properly. If the extender cable plugs into the DLO, then how does the other end of the extender cable make it into the OEM plastic piece?

    Thanks,
    Rich

Well, the extension cable would plug into the DLO on top, unless you hard wired it inside, and then remove the factory connection (on the ipod dock) by removing those two crews, and insert the extension cable and find a way to secure it ( fabricate a little bracket). My Audi dock and IMA are still in transit so give me some time to get back, and I will make a solution.
