if you mean fog light, they are h3's and most hid kits are plug and play.

I am Guessing you never really drive in fog? HIDs or any of the ricer/blue white bulbs will just blind you in fog (and other drivers the rest of the time). Fog lights are designed to be lower output so as not to bounce back and create glare. I switched to ION yellow bulbs and did the fog light w/o headlights mod.

Yellow output bulbs are the best for foglights. That is the color that really is able to properly get through dense fog. That being said, I have driven in PLENTY of dense fog with 6000k bulbs as well as 6000k hid's in my fogs. Its just stupid to say what you said. The theory of it makes sense. Reality is different. My 4.2 has projectors that seem to control the beam very well. Never been flashed by oncoming of noticed a problem with me looking at the car from afar. I most definitely have not been blinded in fog by my own lights.

Perhaps you should reconsider your choice of words. First "it's" is a contraction and we were discussing FOG lights not the main projector beams. FOG lights are just that, lights for use in FOG.

    Then you wrote:

Which just legitimizes my comment about using ION yellow bulbs.

And how does that make what I wrote "stupid"?

Using HIDs in FOG lights may make your lights match, but that is about it. Improperly utilized FOG lights are annoying to other drivers. This is why the aftermarket kits specifically say NOT DOT APPROVED for use on public roads.

Well sir I am sorry for not making it clear I was talking about the projector in my fog housing. That is a stock feature of the 4.2 if you did not know.

Which just legitimizes my comment about using ION yellow bulbs.
I actually did agree with you on that subject. I was commenting more on the white/ricer comment that you said. I believe you said
will just blind you in fog
. No you are wrong. It does not. It may not perform as well as a 3000k bulb, but it hardly "blinds" you.

    I wrote

I most definitely have been blinded in fog by my own lights.
    I meant to write

I most definitely have not been blinded in fog by my own lights. I am truly sorry for forgetting the word not in that sentence.

No. It does more than match. Used properly it can give you more light output and NOT annoy other drivers. A 3000K HID kit would perform very nicely if utilized properly. According to you though, this is an absolute no no.

Hey 04a6sline I would first check to see what bulbs are in your fog lights, reason being, I have the same car and I ordered H3 bulbs to replace the factory ones only to find that my fog lights has H7 bulbs in them. By the way what part of brooklyn are you from?
