Does the pulley make a difference? I've heard everything from it being awsome, to not being worth the money. Did you install it or take it to a shop? If you took it to a shop how much for install

It is a lightweight/underdrive crank pulley. I put some on my 1.8T in the past. It lightens the rotational mass on the engine thus letting your engine rev up easier and quicker. For a turbo car that means you will be getting into boost faster.

Many people don't do them since the crank pulley may or may not act as a balancer for the crank (depending on the opinion of the day) and may cause wear/damage issues. Most people that have run them have not had any problems. You will feel like the engine gained some horsepower due to the faster revs.

They cant void your warranty for lowering or anything that doesnt effect the engine directly. a chip is usually not traceable so not a whole lot to worry about. just but it in stock when you got to the dealer. the pulley might be more noticeable

Re: rs4 sway and underdrive pulley

Just to answer some of the other questions, yes the pulley should make a significant difference. The drawback to an underdriven pulley is that your AC might not be as cold and your battery might not charge up as well due to both the AC compressor and the alternator not rotating as fast (usually 10-20% less). Some companies make just lightweight versions that are the same diameter as the originals so you don't have that problem.
