FW1 Cleaning Wax- Ever heard of it?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Some guy at the gas station talked my girlfriend into buying this stuff, she thought it would be good b/c we live in the city and it's tough to get to wash our cars often enough. I was wondering if anyone ever used it or knows anything about it:

FW1 Racing Formula High Performance Cleaning Wax

It says Made by RGS Labs and it's in an aerosol can.

According to directions you can use it on all surfaces, paint, glass, chrome, tires....the guy said you don't even have to wash your car first, it will clean it. wipe it on with one towel and then take it off with a microfiber towel.

    the website is www.fastwax.com
everything about it sounds good but i'm afraid to use it. then again, all products claim to be the best i guess.

    thanks for any input

Yuck. I would not use it...I can't remember the product it reminds me of. Once I remember I'll edit my post.

Sounds like a cheap instant detailer. I wouldn't use it. Anything you just spray on that like and then wipe off is bound to leave swirl marks and light scratches.

Sounds like B/S. There aren't many easy way outs to detailing. I bet it's a QD like stated above.

yeah that's pretty much what i was thinking, i guess it is common sense when you think about it. but i wasn't looking for it to be a one step complete detailing, just an in between kind of thing b/c like i stated above i don;t get to wash as much as i would like....

you guys doesn't know ditty, all of you never use it and assume it's bad product.I used it on my brand new BMW and it never leave a scratch. keep your car look like new. you need no water and soap. no worry about water mark either.

...I would hope it wouldn't leave water marks or scratches...No QD does. I bet it has much less shine, protection, and durability than a regular wax.

I can't say whether this product is good or bad. But it is interesting because it was here in Southern California (I think under another name) about two years ago. They set up a canopy at a gas station and have a bunch of young guys and girls approaching customers as they pump their car with gas. After a few months of seeing this at various gas stations, they disappeared.

Re: FW1 Cleaning Wax- Ever heard of it?

well i decided to test it out, AFTER washing my car, and it was ok, nothing spectacular. it didn't create any new scratches or swirls. it did leave a smooth, wax-like coating, but like Alan posted above, less of a shine than most other waxes i've used. i didn't test it's cleanability on an unwashed car as it claims to be good for. so at the very best it's a non-harmful, fast, cheap wax. but it's a pain in the balls b/c it's an aerosol can and sprays everywhere. i'll probably stick with the good stuff and use this on my gf's civic!
