why not ask the B6 guys? same difference, but a LOT more users to give you reviews..

it's all pointless though. the kit is the best on the market. ER doesn't mess around(well except for how long it took them to actually release the B5 kit )

Re: TwentyValveB5 and other ER FMIC users

couple gripes, i don have the first production piece thoug, so that could be part of the equasion... the bumper support is too narrow so it doesnt fit over the shocks, the cold side pipe isnt exactly right for me and it makes the core come up off the radiator at the bottom, lasty they dont have a map-less cold pipe (which would be fine if they provided a block off plate...

logs to come soon once this damn profec gets figured out lol

Yeah thats what happens when you want one before the first "public" production run.

They know about the bumper support issue and it will be corrected on the next production.

Cold side pipe did not fit right?

Not bashing but not happy as usual. Bought the kit without reabar or cooler. Cold side pipe fits but is not perfect. Had to grind out map sesnor hole get the senser bolted in with oring. Also hotside pipe does not fit my setup.( 034 header). Right now had to cut the pipe and am struggling with the ac lines to make it all work. Also no t-bolt clamps! I just can't believe how many companies put out products for our cars that don't fit and charge so much. Well except Unitronic FTW. End Rant!!!!!!!

correction: hotside pipe doesnt fit right... id have to really hack it up to make it fit so it doesnt pull the core off the radiator but i dont want to damage my anodizing...

Yeah, just things we all have to deal with when using parts designed for one thing on something else. quattro16 is dealing with the same thing because he has the hot side pipe designed for the FR for his 034 setup. Just way too many different setups to make 1 pipe for each one, if we were able to do that this would be a perfect world.

Can you even use a hump hose at the turbo outlet since the ER uses a 2.25" hot side IC pipe for the competition kit?

I have never seen any hump hoses that are reducer hoses too. Only way to do that is to do a transition pipe from 2.25" to 2" and then the 2" hump hose or increase the OD of the turbo outlet to 2.25" so you can use a 2.25" hump hose.

Re: TwentyValveB5 and other ER FMIC users

We do have a MAP less cold pipe.
When we get orders in that specify no MAP sensor, we send it.
If not, by default we send out MAP sensor. It is easier to send out a block off plates to a customer then it is to get a MAP sensor flange welded on.
If you need a MAP sensor blockoff plate, e-mail me at [email protected] and I will send you one.

If you guys are having issues with fitment, please let me know. Unless you guys tell us there is an issue, there is no way we can find out.

All ER FMIC's all have limited lifetime warranties. If there are issues, you will be taken care of. Every ER customer has the opportunity to take advantage of our post sale customer service. We take care of our customers, you just have to let us know there is a problem.

As for the cold pipe not fitting correctly, please supply me pictures. We just installed a Comp FMIC and ER Turbo Kit on a B5 last week in house and there is no issues with the cold pipe. Fits perfectly.

As for the hot pipe not fitting correctly, we only have 3 pipes available at this moment. 1. stock exhaust manifold (K03/K04)2. ER exhaust manifold (GT2871R) 3. Full Race (GT35R) exhaust manifold.

If you guys do not run either of these exhaust manifold/turbo combination, the piping may not fit properly. There is no way that we can build cold pipes to match all possible combinations. If we can get a test car in to make a cold pipe to fit a certain manifold/turbo combination, we will do it. In fact, we're one of the few, if not only FMIC manufacturer that does offer this service.

Re: TwentyValveB5 and other ER FMIC users

You should not need to grind the MAP sensor hole. The flange is CNC machined and should all be identical. I have not heard of any issues with that. When we installed the Comp FMIC last week, we did not have this issue either. If there is an issue with that, please let me know.

Again, it is not possible to make all exhaust manifold/turbo combinations. We try to make as many as we can. We do not have one for the 034 manifold.

If you purchased a Basic Kit, you do not get t-bolt clamps. The Basic kit is suppose to be a DIY kit including the bare minimums. That is why it is cheaper in price.

Re: TwentyValveB5 and other ER FMIC users

The B5 A4 Comp FMIC share the same intercooler core and end tank design as the B6 A4 Comp FMIC. The only difference between the 2 are the inlet/outlets and mounting points.

Here are some logs that are posted on our website. These logs were collected independently from our customers and submitted to us. We played no part in the logging process.
