    Car troubles! Help! vag-com codes!!

    Hey. I own a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro. It's a 1.8l turbo 5 speed manual.

It has a Borla complete exhaust, K&N airfilter, and a MTM chip in it. THAT IS ALL.

The car has been running funny lately, hesitating when a lot of torque is needed. I changed the plugs, changed the air filter, changed the fuel filter, cleaned the injectors and changed the oil. Nothing.

I bough a vag-com ebay kit and ran the auto search. I got one code:

    Address 01: Engine
    Controller: 8D0 907 557 N
    Component: 1.8L G1/5VT HoSp HS D05
    Coding: 06201
    Shop #: WSC 06435
    1 Fault Found:
17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded
    P1555 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
    Readiness: 0000 0000
    .

    1. First off, whats this mean?
    2. Second off, what do I do to fix my car?

Maximum limit sounds something like the *stock* DV can't handle the added boost forced in by the turbo. Am I correct?

It's looks like you are boosting more than you should... it could be a faulty N75 valve.

Log block 115 to see your requested boost VS. your actual boost.

Okay, I'm going to do that log right now.

Is it bad to drive on a faulty N valve?

Also how much are these valves and are they hard to change?

Since he is a 1997, he won't have a MAP sensor so there is no real way to monitor boost...

114 is a boosting type of deal, but I think your right.

I don't think I have boost leaks, but what are the possible problems?

    N75 valve for sure?

Unplugged the mass airflow and took it for a spin... Boost became suction and the car was definatly less powerful.
