Purems was a bust. What to do now?

Well I started a thread about a month ago asking some questions about a cost friendly brake upgrade for my 2002 a4 avant. The general response was go with the 3.0 312mm rotor & carriers. So I found what I thought was the kit on purems. Come time to put everything on the carrier was no where near close to fitting! I should have read the website better. This kit is only for the B5 a4, and came with a TT carrier instead of the 3.0 carrier. I am keeping the zimmerman rotors I ordered but sending back the carriers.
My question is where is the best place to get a set of 3.0 carriers quickly, that's not the dealer??? I dont feel like getting raped. I need to get these brakes on before wustefest!

So Y was Pure Motorsports a bust? Wasn't it that you just read the info wrong?...You can always call them and ask if you are ever unsure...they will be more than happy to help.

Ya they are great guys! I called them this morning and I am going to just send the carriers back. Unfortunately they don't carry the 3.0 carriers but I found a couple Audi scrap yards that may have some?

Damn, the dealer really wants 400$+tx for those hunks of metal. the genuineaudiparts.com site only ships to dealers, so I guess it's US only. In any case, they would still ask for 400$ for them I guess once they get to my dealer...
Only ECSTuning seems to carry them (apart from dealers) and with taxes + duty (Canadian eh), I'll still be close to 400$... :(

I found a scrap yard that i am geting a pair of 3.0 carries for $170 shipped! Purems is refunding about that much so I come out about even?
It's worth it to piece it all together, I saved some $$$

I have not bought anything yet from genuineaudiparts but from email transactions I have had regarding this part and other parts, there was no indication of selling only to dealers. Have them sent to the closest UPS store to the border and drive over and pick them up. That's what I've done and am doing with my brake upgrade.

The web site for genuineaudiparts.com says in their FAQ: Q. Can a special order part be drop shipped to me directly? A. Unfortunately, no. All Genuine parts must first be shipped to a Volkswagen or Audi Dealership. We pick up and ship to you from our San Diego location.
I assume this is a genuine part. However, elsewhere on their site they talk about shipping but don't talk about dealers...

Anyway, I'm beginning to think I'll stay with my little disks and just get Hawk HPS to make things a little bit better.

I think Strat has a set of those carriers.....I remember calling them and asking for a buddy who wants it. Well he backed off....

You can't drop ship from Germany to you. Of course Audi GMBH must ship to the dealer in San Diego first (Genuinevwaudiparts.com) then they ship to you. Whatever...
I order plenty of parts from them and they ship right to my house. No problems.
