Yeah, should throw a code stating the battery has been disconnected in the last 80 miles or 5 starts (something like that)
Cali seems to be the worst with emissions. Back in IL, they just plug into your obdII and just go with that info. My buddy had a dsm with a 60trim, test pipe, external wg vented to the atmosphere, an exhaust leak at the manifold-turbo gasket, & some big cams... Dsmlink has a fun little option that lets you ignore certain codes... it passed obdII check without a hitch... even if it is burning a hole in the O3 wherever it goes...
Then I look at the haze overlooking socal and think... catayltic converters aren't so bad...
