Just installed my Forge SPLT-R...**Video POST 28**

I heard if I get the BOV for my A4, it will make a trouble with air circulation then check engine light will be turn on, so I couldn't get the BOV yet. Did you get any trouble like I heard? And if there is no problem, is it possible to get Greddy BOV?

well the Forge SPLT-R has 3 settings, full BOV, hybrid BOV/DV, full DV

if you run full BOV for an extended period i've heard that it is bad for your engine..

i'm running with some air recirculating so it doesnt hurt (or hurt as much) like a full BOV would

7speed what is your cai intake.. and is that true.. what makes the stutter sound.. is it more the intake or the dv... can that noise be created wiht stock intake or no

It didn't make that sound when I first installed it. I think it may be broken, I really don't know. One day I turned it to full BOV and it began to make that sound. I have since turned it 13 clicks to the right, and it still makes the sound.

No. I have carbonio as well with a baileys DV and it sounds nothing like that. Mine is a clean and short 'pssshhhh', it does not flutter like the vid of 7speed's car.

An intake simply enhances the DV/Splitter sound, as well as turbo spool, since the stock airbox is muffled to quiet down the engine.

Only time I've heard flutter like that was when a dv line came loose. So if the Spltr isn't suppose to sound like that, check your lines.

He must have the spring rate too tight then. The valve can't completely open and the piston is just shuttering up and down making that noise.

its basically sound if you dont already have an aftermarket DV.

it give you the option of the oh-so-saught-after BOV noise with the option to run full DV if you get tired of it

i bought mine from ecode on thursday of last week and it shipped in yesterday (wednesday)

In that vid all i hear is the carbonio idling louder. If that is what you mean by shutter, then yeah, with an intake the car makes wierd sounds at idle when first fired up. But when he revved it I heard a clean DV sound.

But yeah if your DV is shuttering, or letting off with multiple short bursts, you either have the wrong spring/setting or a loose line.

Aside from the quality... the valve sounded good... good enough for me to drive 45 mins tomorrow and go pick one up. I might just do APR Stage 1 tomorrow for shits and giggles to make the valve a little louder.

when you turned it a few clicks you made it hold more boost, so now it flutters instead of relieving the pressure with the one full blow off... i have the same splitter from forge and had the same issue, i thought i broke it too, but i took it apart, looked good, i twisted it back a click at a time until it worked normal
