Stupid Window Tinting Shop [mad]

i took my car at noon to get my car tinted...so then about two hours later i get a call saying that one of the workers were having a problem with my windows...so im like how did this happen...so too make a long story short,i go pick up the car and i notice that all windows are up except the drivers window...i get the key to see whats the problem and none of the switches work in the car NONE and im like wtf!?!?!? so i proceed to to clothes the windows through the drivers side keyhole with the key and it didnt work...its just locks and unlocks,the alarm doesnt even go on and the red door lights dont blink and beep like normal...so we agreed to let the car in their shop over night and have the dealer look at it tomorrow....they must have fucked sumthin up electrical when the took the door panels off...and on top of that my 3rd brake light is out!!! idiots

Man that sucks! When I got my tint done they broke my right rear door panel when trying to get it off, and I didn't even notice till 2 months later. so now I'm on the hunt for a black leather right rear door panel! GL with your car man

Man that suck, I'm a window tinter and I didn't pull any panels on my a4. For the 3rd brake light, i'd check to see if it's plugged in. But I didn't pull that out either. It sucks you had a shitty experience though.

yup cuz the windows switches are all in good condition physically and stuff...i believe these guys take off the panel is that so they tint it all the way to the bottom that way u can start rolling ur windows up and down as soon as u drive off with it...but obiously the windows were working!!! or else they wouldnt of been able to tint the whole car and have it done

bro when i got my tint they didnt take off any panels..they just measured correctly and put it right on the inside and it took only a hour for all windows..go to another shop

My guy didnt take off any panels either, just measured and did whatever those guys do and it was done.

That's somewhat normal... but under the tint. And come to think of it when I got my ceramic tint done they didn't have to remove my panels either.

Thats ridiculous. with the way the connectors are designed the whole plug would have to be submerged in water to "fry" it.

I wouldnt be surprised if the didnt hook your alarm light back up which is why that isnt coming on. there is a chance a connection is not perfect inside the door and it just needs to be pulled off and redone. Thats my guess. Pull the driver side door apart and make sure everything is securely connected I have a feeling youll be just fine.

^ yeah that's my guess. they simply left something unpluged, or possibly pulled a wire out of the harness on accident when removing the pannel.

i got my car back friday from the dealer...the service advisor called me saying the the main wiring harness from the door when u open & close the doors are damaged..so the car got fixed and that it wasnt damage done due to the tinting...so i know a tech at the audi dealer and he fixed the wiring harnesses(3) for $60,also reseted the windows with the diagnostic PC
