Well I was able to finish relocating the battery in the trunk, safety switch and running all the new wires.

Bad thing is that my fuel return line is leaking now so I have to fix that before I can take the car out to the track again.

Yes, it is meant to turn the car of completely if it is running. So it cuts the main 2 gauge battery cable and battery power to the 034 stand alone.

LOL, yeah the car now comes second to the kid so I can only work on it when I actually have time. New fuel line parts are on their way. I just have a few other things I need to do and the car is ready to go.

At what point are you required by NHRA rules to have the battery cut? Just curious, you couldn't fit it under the bumper so you could avoid drilling into the body?

When ever you relocate the battery to the trunk. I wanted the switch in the highest spot, actually mike at WMS had the switch located in the same spot but on the other side of the car. It isn't like I plan on selling the car any time soon since I will be putting a full cage by next month, I just need to pull the dash and strip the spots on the floor where the cage will be welded.

Yes it is a rule and safety because it isn't like they can get into the trunk very easy if the battery is relocated. The switch also needs to be installed so that if the car is running it will cause the car to stop running when the switch is turned to the off position.

Well no reason for vids yet since I cant keep the car running because the fuel return line is leaking at the spot where the AN fitting is connected to it. Once I saw that I shut the car off and called Javad at 034, they built me a new line and shipped it out today. Once I get the new line installed, pull the old oil drain fitting at the pan so I can remove the old catch can and change the oil I will take some vids of the car running again.


Good thing is that once I got it all wired up the car stared right up on the 2nd crank, shut it off for a few minutes and it started right up on the first crank. Now I just need to wire up the start button I installed.

Well seeing that I only use the car at the track I never look at the clock, there is no radio and I dont roll the windows down anyway. The switch will always be in the off position when ever I am not in the driverseat.

Maybe a dumb question why did you relocate the battery, its not like you need more wieght in the back since its our front tires that spin well atleast mine do, the back never do... Or did you just need more room in the bay? Also is this car awd or fwd?

his car is quattro and his tires will spin a shit ton. 600whp tends to do that. where his battery was there is now a huge catch can, so maybe thats why it was relocated.

Correct. I installed a custom OEM batter size catch can in the stock battery location.

Have never put the car on corner scales, but the car still needs to be nose heavy other wise the front wheels will end up coming off the ground during a hard launch. The car should be under 2900 lbs, but I wont know till I put it on a scale again.

I will most likely remove the moroso sticker and just put ones that say on/off, maybe I will put FUNK above the switch just for the hell of it.

I had the PC680MJT but it died, the PC680's are back ordered nationwide and they have no idea when they will get more. So I went with the next size up which is the PC925 when they offered to replace the dead battery under warranty.

PC925 is 24 lbs
PC680MJT is 16 lbs

Well the new braided fuel line showed up today. Took me 5 minutes to remove the old one, cut the stock line at the fender and install the new one. Car started right up and there are no fuel leaks. Just need to swap out the fuel return flange, change the oil and pull the old catch can out. Would have done that today but its raining and I haven't had a chance to pick up a new oil filter from Purems.

Geoff at Full-race brought up the idea of trying a Borg Warner turbo on my car for a twin scroll setup since they seem to fill in the holes between the Garrett turbos. Only down side is that they are only oil cooled and I will be running at at very high boost, but since its for drag racing it might not be all that much of a problem.

no one was running these turbos on VW/audi so we decided to try them out spread the info around, and glad that more cars are running them cuz they are awesome, you won't have issues with oil cool only at high boost these are made for that.

Well I hope my times get quicker going from a 65 lbs/min turbo to a 75 lbs/min turbo.


I had one of the very first Airwerks(Borg Warner) S series turbo on my car way back in 2002-2003 when they first started doing some testing on that line.
