Has anybody had this happen in a bone stock car?

Car is 2 months old and recently in LA its been 90 degrees and up and the brakes are bone stock. When coming to a stop there is no noise at all but when you take your foot off the brakes it sounds like a metal whining noise really embarrasing noise. I took it to the stealership and they supposedly fixed it. Only for it to make the same noise on one side of the car only at low speed braking vs. low speed take off. If I brake hard you don't hear it but if I brake lightly like for example trying slow down and rolling through a stop sign it whines loud. it's not a metal to metal grinding noise but it is a metal whining noise. Nothing at all like a wheel bearing.

no the brakes are original and only have about 2500 miles on them. This all started as the temps in Los Angeles started going into the 90's a few weeks ago

yea really annoying and embarrasing noise. Dealer has a tsb on the caliper rings and they performed this for me but it only made it worse

brake dust? I know it is way simple, but audi pads make a shit-ton of dust...

it should only be a dust issue if it is at all intermittent... if it sometimes does not happen is what i mean

My brakes started squeaking but that is because of glazing. The pads are still good but I am going to replace soon and have 32K miles on the car right now. Not sure about your problem. Definitely keep taking it to the stealership until its fixed...

yea it is intermittent but do you think dust would only make noise when it's hot out? it sounds and kinda feels like the brakes never fully release when they are hot

Common on these cars. Wash your wheels thoroughly, it usually goes away. Although mine has gone away since the weather has warmed up.

OEM brakes suck. Get some new/better ones, that is the solution!

I have the same noise and I have the car for roughly the same time (3800miles) but I have heard it before. I was planning on getting some new Hawk HPS brake pads to hopefully solve the problem.
