ignition coil pack #4 not responding???

im getting misfire here...

im getting power and ground to the connecter that goes into the coil pack. getting power to the injectors.

1)when i take coil pack #4 and move it to #1,2,3,5,6 (no response)??
2)when i take working coil packs from 1,2,3,5,6 to # 4 location (no response)
3)Switched POS without changing coil packs now #1 & #4 nothing??

btw i replaced all spark plugs checked all injectors

This happened in my A4 1.8t. My ICM (Ignition Control Module) went out, and also messed up a coilpack.

You now know that #4 coil pack is bad, and now none of your WORKING coil packs are operating in the #4 location. SO the ICM should be the problem.

It looks like this:



There are two on top of your air box. Maybe you can try swapping them and see if the misfire moves to a different location. If it does, then you know it's the ICM before you throw parts at it.

I to have had mulitply misfire on my car often, As the others stated above check your ICM, that was my culprit.
