Sport Suspension - Year To Year Differences?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I'm wanting to know if there is a thread somewhere that outlines all of the differences between the years. I have an '03 with the Sport Package, and from what we can tell, it's definitely lower than my buddy's '04 USP. I've also always read that the '02 came with the lowest sport suspension made for the car. But haven't read anything that specifically states how much lower vs. stock vs. all of the other OEM packages.

And it's the truth. Height may vary slightly by individual car.

My '05 USP is as low as any '02 I've ever seen.

I don't think it's right. If it was, everyone and their brother wouldn't tell you to look for the '02 suspension. And besides, that link is very generic. I did not see anything in those listings about an Ultra Sport Package, or an S-Line Package.

Re: Sport Suspension - Year To Year Differences?

Just out of curiosity, I went out to measure my 2002 Sport currently on stock 17" OEM sport rims and P235/45ZR17 tires. Measurements are as follows:

    Front 26" floor-to-fender
    Rear 25.75" floor-to-fender

My 02 Sport (9/01 build date) with Sport Edition 18x8 with 235/40R18 Riken Raptor ZR Tires:
    Front 26" floor-to-fender
    Rear 25.5" floor-to-fender

When I had the stock P6's/17" rims it was:
    Front 25.8" floor-to-fender
    Rear 25.3" floor-to-fender

Every '02 sport I've ever seen sat way lower than my '04.5 did with stock sport suspension.

The link isn't generic, and it's correct. Since the USP and S-line packages use the same suspension components as stock sport, why would they be any lower?

Also, just because people keep repeating something doesn't mean it's true.
