99 or 99.5? Need advice

I want to buy rubber all weather mats for my dads 99' A4, but the ECS tuning site says they only fit 99.5' and up A4's? How do I check to see which model year (or half year) the car is?

check the door handles and headlights. one piece=99.5+ and two piece=before 99.

the physical shape will fit. the only difference is the mounting grommets, which is no big deal

They only make the 99.5+ one's now. I have the newer style mats in my 97. They work just fine.

they fit exactly the same its just that the back mats do not have gromets for them in the floor
