Back of headlights?

I am going to put an HID system into my stock halogen lights - I know I am going to have to drill a hole in that back removable door for all the wires from the balast. Does audi sell this back cover? If I change my mind later about the HIDs I dont want moisture getting in my headlights.

Audi does not sell these covers separately. However, I was able to find a website that sold them. I got one because I received a pair of housings from the classifieds without the back covers.

EDIT: The best way to go is to convert to HID using all OEM parts. You won't regret it.

You actually can purchase just the rear covers alone...I know because I did when I was considering doing the same upgrade (ended up buying the xenon housing instead). I got my rear covers from genuineaudiparts.com.

i drilled through mine and sealed it with a rubber grommet at lots of silicone glue...i guess you could buy the ones without holes later on if you decide to go back to halogen (but idk why you would want to) instead of buying ones with holes now

I don't have a cover on my xenon ecodes and I don't get any moisture

Without covers, your housings are slowly being contaminated with road crap. It will evenually reduce the light transmission and damage the projector reflector surface and inside lens surface.

I'm going to pay attention to how I adjest the beams - i dont want to be a glare hog. But as a student compare an easy to install $75 kit to an $800 setup. I just did the HID fogs and I love them
