    Re: blinder radar jammer

Well..........it is a LASER jammer NOT a radar jammer.

It will not alert to radar much less jam it, so when you are speeding around you will get a ticket from a police officer using radar.

My recommendation is to do a lot more research, and buy yourself a V1 along with the Blinder, and learn how to effectively use them.

    Yea... what he said.

The Blinder works really well at jamming police laser. But not all police use laser. In CT all the highway cops use laser. But most of the town cops still use radar. In MA the police use a mix of radar and laser.

Without the V1 you'll be blind to the radar traps. The best would be to get the V1 in combination with the blinder.

    Re: blinder radar jammer

    hmm...I never new that.
I'm very glad I mentioned it here!
I was gonna put blinder and see how it works, then get V1 maybe later...
I don't speed a lot, but just to be safer side...lol
And have you used the concealed display?
On the photos, it looks cool, but actually you sit in the car, having it on the windshield doesn't really bother and it's easier to look when it's right above the rear view mirror...IMO...
    what do you think?

Jammers are quite illegal in California... not sure about the other states. My highway patrol buddies told me they can tell if their "Lidar" (laser) equiptment is being jammed, he said it acts weird. And most of the time they pull you over anyways.

    Re: blinder radar jammer

Blinder doesn't have a unit that automatically turns off but other companies do (after like 4 or 8 secs)

Be careful with the Blinder though, some people have tested it and found its performance to be sub-par.

The Guys of LIdar tests should be coming out soon though, so we will know for sure.

    Re: blinder radar jammer

Blinder, you can actually turn off yourself (which I prefer). I've played around with laser guns, shooting it at blinder equipped and non-equipped cars. It does "act funny" when it's being jammed BUT it's not different enough to prove that someone is running a laser jammer. It just seems like you can't get a lock on the car. And if someone turns off the jammer, and the cop can get a reading, there is very little proof they are running a jammer.

The cop can still pull you over though and search for the jammer. If they find it, they can (and will) ticket you. Probably a less expensive ticket than a speeding ticket though. AND you can fight it alot easier. The police will have to prove you indeed had a jammer in the car. Which they can't do without confiscating the jammer. They can cut it out, but if they cut the wires they can't prove it was actually operational at the time they caught you and they open themselves up to liablility, especially if the charges are thrown out :-)

Its up to you to determine if it's worth it though. While illegal, a laser jammer will be difficult to detect if it's used and installed properly. I'm not sure what the fines are, but a laser jammer might be cheaper than a speeding ticket and not carry the moving violation points.

Yea, if you get a non-moving violation ticket for having the blinder you most likely also got out of a very bad moving violation, such as reckless driving.:)

Which is what I'm waiting for.

Seems like I've been waiting forever...

I love my v1, has saved me several times. Now I just need lidar (and veil) to complete my protection.

I hope the guys of lidar hurry the hell up. I might as well get veil now while I wait.

Most the time it will just delay a reading, but not completely avoid it. By the time the cop gets a reading, your not going to be speeding anymore.

Lmao. You think a cop can just pull you over and search your car? Unless you consent thats never happening, and if it does its getting dropped in court anyway because thats an illegal search. There is no way a cop can KNOW that somebody is using a jammer via lidar, and even if he thinks he does theres very little he can do.

BTW, where the hell is the multiquote....

First of all, the cop doesn't need to search the inside of your car to find a laser jammer. He can easily see the jamming pods in "plain sight" in the front of the car. If it's in plain sight, it's admissible in court, simple as that. Not to mention a cop can search the inside of your car if he has "probable cause". If he sees jamming pods on the front of your car and suspects his laser was jammed, then it is very likely he has probable cause to search further. But practically speaking, all he'll need to do is see the jamming pods to cite you.

And yes there are ways for cops to KNOW you have a jammer. Some of the newer laser guns can detect when they are being jammed. These are more common in Europe rather than the US (because they are expensive and PD's here generally don't spend that kind of coin on laser guns) but they are still out there.

That said, the cop doesn't need to be sure he was jammed to pull you over, he just needs "reasonable suspicion" (a very low standard, much lower than "probable cause") that you have a jammer and were jamming him or even that you were speeding. After he properly pulls you over all he needs to do is look for those pesky pods in plain sight.

Again, all this is assuming you are in a jurisdiction which bans laser jammers.
