About to pick up used OMP or LLTEK strut bar. Look same, both say will not fit 2001.

Windshield washer nozzles the only problem? Everything else looks like it would/should be the exact same. I feel like it wouldnt be too hard to relocate my nozzles (cut grooves elsewhere in the underside of the CF hood).

Main point, is this the only issue/difference? Or am I asking for trouble buying one of these despite the sellers warnings. Through searching I found a few threads discussing the strut bars back in like 2001. Other issues cited were interferring with AC lines and/or pushing on brake fluid reservoir. Were these old first gen LLteks/OMP models? In comparing a picture of a pre-facelift B5 w/ lltek to my 2001, the brake reservoir seems a bit larger/forward, but there still looks like a good amount of room.

Also, they look identical, basically same price, is one better than the other? It seems people are either very satisfied or can't even get the bar to fit right (with both LLtek and OMP).

Why not do the OEM Strut Bar that comes with the 2001.5, if you don't already have one.

I have a 98.5 and got the LLTek one last winter because it was really the only one available at the time, and if I had a choice I would have done the OEM Strut Bar, but my AC lines are in the way. Fit on the LLTek is so so, bar interferes with the battery a bit and the wires, finish again is so so. The OEM method IMHO is better because it has more mounting points and best of all it's OEM and discrete.

Thanks guys. Yeah I was hoping it was just minor issues. Oh well, scratch that idea. I have looked at the OEM method, but this was going to be a much cheaper solution so I thought I'd give it a shot. BTW, I have early 2001, so no stock front bar :(
