I posted a few months back about me moving out here this month. Well the wife and I arrived about 4 hours ago and are currently staying at the Hale Koa for the rest of the week.

My car is on its way to the Port and hopefully will be ready for pick up the first week of June...

I'll be looking around for some nice 4 rings! Hope to meet you guys at some gtg's in the NEAR future, be on the look out for a B6 S4 on 19 OZ SL's with PA tags and a euro front plate...

I drove my car from TX to WA state. The lady at the office told me to come on the cut off day. Basically the last day they stop taking cars in on a shipment and get ready for the voyage. My car got here to the docks in like 2 1/2 weeks from when I drove it into the lot.

no, I shipped both our vehicles from the port in Baltimore, both were trucked to Cali and shipped from there, my wifes car we paid to have shipped and it is being sent through The Pasha Group and mine is to the lowest bidder (god bless the military)... I just checked the tracking on mine and it was "enroute" on the ocean, hopefully I'll get her soon...

Heh, yeah to ship my car from Seattle to Honolulu was just under 1k.

I just had to pay for rooms, gas and food along the way there.

Only thing I regret.. driving through Denver, CO at the end of November with summer tires.

OK, for those who shipped their vehicles through the military... Roughly how long did it take for you to get your car?

I've been living on the whereismypov.com site trying to see when I can pick her up. It has been listed as "Ocean Transit - POV with Carrier" since I arrived in Hawaii. All the Matson ships that have sailed from Cali on and before the day I got here all say they should have been in Honolulu by now... I'm assuming they just haven't "processed" my vehicle for pick up just yet...

Anyone care (if they can) to shed any light on this?

I called the office today and the woman said the average time for the shipment is 25 days (I almost flipped my lid)... I looked up the "sailing schedules" for both Matson and Pasha Group and both had an average Cali to Honolulu time of about 3-5 days, which makes me think maybe she said 2 TO 5 days and not 25...

I checked the tracking, like I said earlier, and since last Tuesday it has said the car is in a Ocean Transit status, which tells me its on the ship... It should have been here by now... Guess I'll just have to wait :(

I did get an email from Pasha Group today saying my wife's car got here so, hopefully I'll be able to get an appointment scheduled for tomorrow afternoon to pick it up...

thanks buddy, you guys already seem to be a good mature group and I haven't even met anyone yet... I have seen a few Audi's on base, none that seem to have anything done to them except one... Actually a VERY clean Black B7 A4 Avant with unpainted Door Blades and RS4 reps... If I see him around base again, I'll "recruit" him to join AZ/Hawaii

I just got back from picking up my car... it had 8 more miles on it then when it did when I dropped it off... someone took it out for a joy ride... but, everything seems fine with her...

Its every 2nd Saturday of the month.

Lots of exotics and domestics show up.

Downside is it starts at like 7am and parking is kinda scarce if you show up late.

Pearl City is about the middle of the island so you're about 20-30 min from anywhere with the exception of the North Shore. Not a bad location but houses tend to be a little older there unless you're on base housing. At least it doesn't rain everyday there like Kaneohe does.

yeah, in the manana housing area... the road i take to get there doesn't even exist yet on mapquest or my garmin nuvi (with maps that are only 2 weeks old mind you)... supposedly the brand new houses were JUST turned over to the city last week so they don't show up if you were to do a search for the address...

its a gorgeous house, single story, 3 bedroom, not sure of the square footage but, i'm stoked about the garage... lol, i FINALLY actually get to use homelink for something...

the traffic getting there wasn't that bad... MOST of the commute for me is on the H3, and the access road to get to the housing area is only about 2 miles off H3...

pearl city is pretty central. i got friends and family in ewa beach/kapolei and in town, nearly similar distance to both from my place in pearl city.

manana housing, i'm thinking this is in aiea near the freeway overpass by st. elizabeth church, iirc....no? either, good location in new housing, can't beat it.
