alright i finallly got the new tires ... hate me or love me

so i was shopping around for some tires today because my belts were showing on 3 of the tires... so i had to get something TODAY i went to my local les schwab and they showed me the zexius... after them telling me it was a good tire for the all wheel drive compared to directional tires i told them i would go home read some reviewsd and get back to them... i read some good reviews about that model and the model before the ones i got ( i got the xi-427) and some bad reviews i went back to the shop and said i will give them a try... if i didnt like them i could return within 30 days he said... he was very helpful.... so i have had the tires on for about 60 miles now... and i must say for a pretty entry level cheap tire (123.96) a pair mounted and aligned... it rides VERY well... the road noise is minimal and the traction is better than my old kumho ast were (before the belts were showing) overall i am pretty happy with the purchase. and i dont think it is a very bad tire at all.

not literally hate me.. ther ha jsut been a lot of debate on a lot of forums about the zexiums...but i am happy so just thought i would post a short reviw incase anyones looking for some tires

Because it's Falken / PS2's or FAIL! hahaha, or so everyone says.

PS2s are considered good? Wow... Falken is good but I never considered them top notch. For me it's #1: Bridgestone. If I can't find the application I want in them, I try Pirelli. That's brandwise. I know there are a few good Falken models that are good but as a whole I don't think they're a premier tire manufacturer. The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 is also a great tire but that's honestly the only one they make that I'd ever use, and I'd still prefer a set of Potenzas over those.

As for Pilotsports? Never liked em. Overrated and SUPER overpriced.

I had Pilotsports on my old GTI, OEM Contis (JUNK) on the A4, Pilotsport2s on that GTI also (thought they'd be better than the OEM Pilotsports that came on it but was never impressed).

My uncle has a C6 ZO6 which had the GS-D3s on it and I got to drive that a good amount. Those tires grip very very well, however I don't think any tire should go on a Corvette or a car of that nature that has any type of winter features whatsover (The GS-D3s actually have a few cold-weather features for those brave enough to run them year round in some areas). He eventually shed the goodyears for some BF Goodrich gForce tires which were pretty ridiculous, but a bit too aggressive for the street, plus they were downright dangerous in rain. On a dry road you could take turns that would make your insides hurt. He finally settled on a set of Potenza pole positions and they were perfect, just not in any type of cold weather whatsoever.

We also have a BMW in the family with factory installed Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's and they seem to be very nice as well. Remind me of a more expensive GS-D3.

Don't buy cheap tires you fools.

P.S. - Forgot to mention I run Blizzaks on 2 different cars and I'm also a huge fan of them, although they are pricey. My next set of winters going on next season for the A4 might be Dunlop M3 Wintersports which are a tad bit more snow-geared than my Blizzak LM-22s, which are designed more for performance. They still tread through 6" of snow like it's their business though.

That's my point. Although with most things you do get what you pay for, doesn't mean you should buy what everyone else says is the greatest thing EVARRRRRRR.

Whatever works for you. I picked up a set of Kumho SPT's a year or so ago because they were cheap to put on a set of wheels I was selling. Ive liked them ever since and will continue to run them on my street wheels until I find something better. Disregard what people say about you should run these or dont be cheap on tire ... whatever works for you and whatever your happy with

I have the Pilot Sport AS ultra High performance and love them, only thing is they are directional so my spare has a Pirelli P-Zero Nero MS... the traction is awesome in any condition. They are probably the most expensive but the wear has been great, going on at least 20k save for one that was punctured in the damn shipyard. To each is own though drive what you feel is best.

As for never hearing anyone say they like the Ps2's I think you need to do a search. In just about every tire thread I've read on this board someone swears by them.

If you want to go with a brand name tire, Michelin PS2s are the best bar none but stay away from Pirelli and Contis.

PS2s are some of the best performance tires in the market. Are you sure you have Pilot Sport PS2s and not one of the other Michelin Pilot variant? If you have PS2s, what tire pressures are you running?

just put my stock PS 2's through the 2 day AUDI Club VIR event and all I can say is wow !!!!

I had PS2's and loved them. I run Eagle F1's now. I have always found that quality tires make a huge difference in how any car handles. But that's just me.
