Vag Codes: P1114/17522

Just pulled the codes off a friends B6 1.8.
Thought Id post it in here since it is a 1.8t too.
7522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1114 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
I got those codes with some symptoms:
-misfires on all cylinders
- lack of power
-checked plugs already
-rough idle and drive
-block 32 values are in spec
When I disconnected the MAF it idled fine.
I'm thinking its the MAF
anybody wanna chime in?

From my unfortunate experiences, a bad MAF would definitely give those symptoms!

Log block 003 or switch it out with a good compatible MAF from another car to help verify.

any results on this. was it the MAF?

That just means the rear O2 sensor heater curcuit is going bad. Does that even trigger a CEL? It's an interminnent code.

To check. Take a multimeter and disconnect 2nd O2 sensor from its harness behind the coolant reservoir and check resistance between wires 1 and 2. Wire 1 is all the way to the left. Resistance should be under 20 ohm.

If you have a vag and it has a rough idle, check the mass airflow g/s at idle and tell us what it is. this will tell us should be around 3g/s at idle. when mine failed it was showing 25-30 needless to say i was running pig rich.
