I want to spend about 400 bucks + or - 75 bucks. I feel like the AWE is way overkill so i dont know which to buy.

maybe a used gretty..............or save up and do it right. It may be "overkill" but it does not get heat soaked even with hours of racing.

similar does not usually mean close. The big manufactures spend atot of time on fluid dynamics and end baffeling. I do not think the little guys do much of any testing

Pete, get the greddy if you are going to get one. the AWE is great also just not entirely necessary for the street driving. I would say if you are tracking the car regularly and have a bigger turbo then def get the awe but for not with the stock turbo and street driving the greddy is great, thats what i have. Its the cheapest one out there and works well and looks nice. If you want when i see you tomorrow i will give you my run down on the whole principals behind it.

Perhaps I'm missing something but the Greddy kit for the 2.0T is almost $1K. I hope your variance has changed to + $600.

We have done EXTENSIVE testing on many different intercooler core sizes and tubing sizes on the B7 2.0T, both with stock and larger turbos.

Because the factory uses a dual intercooler setup stock, it is extremely difficult to improve upon it.

Without going to the size that we did, not only would the results not be an improvement over stock, they would most likely be worse. We saw this during R&D.

If the B7 2.0T came stock with a single IC like the B6 1.8T, it would be much easier to design a better system.

Yes, there are cheaper systems out there for the B7 2.0T, but our research indicates that none of them could be improving over the stock design. In that case, what is the real value of them? Just to look cool?

Trust us, if we could have gotten away with a smaller core, it would have made our lives much easier (and costs much cheaper). Our kit is designed with street driving in mind, even though it has been limit tested at the track.

    Hope this helps!
