My 08 S4 with new HRE's

Hey Guys,

Just got these put on friday they are HRE 891r's with brushed alluminium centers and chrome lip. They are wrapped in Toyo Proxes'. They are very light weight and far better preformance all around vs. the stocks. I have been waiting for a long while, ordered them March 20th, very long story. If i remember the sizes are 19x8.5 all around and 245's all around as well.

I never like to say anything negative to anyone about the choices they make on their cars - everyone has their own taste, but I have to agree with ngng, I'm not really feeling those wheels on this car. Other than that though it looks beautiful.

yea they look very good on your car; nice S4; are you lowered on anything? lower it some if not, it looks a little high

They are pretty nice wheels, but I think the offset is what is throwing off the look.

1. You're gonna have to drop that car asap to dial in your look. I can see how the wheels are trying to keep with the whole Audi twin spoke Rs theme and that's good. What isn't goos is that the forks go back in instead of out at the rim. Lower the car and it'll look 1000 times better.

I think they work OK - wouldn't be top of my list if I was looking for new wheels but think the wheel finish flows with the metallic highlights on your car (nice S4 BTW!!).

Does one of the wheels have a nic in the lip (refer to the top of this pic)?

HRE took forever on my wheels also. I think it was over 3 months even though they told me it would only be 4 weeks. Total BS.

That's a very classy looking wheel. + on the drop. The H&R sport springs will drop you about 1.2" in the front and 1" in the rear, and they're $270 at the Tire Rack.

maybe a deeper lip in front and back would have made the rims look better.

Yes, 07 and up came with the s4 caliper spring.

I hear you on the waiting thing. I ordered iForged rims March 23rd and they have not even shipped yet :(

I'm rolling around w/ an Oetty kit and stock rims. I feel like I should be driving a Civic :/

This is the great thing about wheels. Each one makes a unique looking car so that everyone can get exactly what they want. I'm not personally a fan but the setup definitely looks pretty good however, I'm not sure why but they look cheap for some reason.

I don't think that they look cheap at all. I personally like a wheel with a stronger lip, but he likes them and that's what counts. When folks ragged on the wheels I had on my S4 before I changed them my response was "I didn't get them for you..."

^ yeah but when you post pics on the forum, you expect some sort of feedback and people give it. most people will agree with me that when something is done with some taste is generally followed with praises from fellow members. so if something is done not with so much taste, you get flamed. it's a forum just deal with it.
