Not an S Line?

Well I have been reading the posts and to see or try and tell the difference between a non sline and sline. I bought my 07 A4 and when picking it up I have 3 s-line badges on it. One on each door panel (rear Passenger doors) and one in the front on the grille. So I figure ok great. No sport suspension and no interior sline badges. But from looking on the web site here my fog lights are the same color as the body (silver) and I do not have the truck lip ( I installed my own ) but not from factory. Is their a partial external sline? or did some dealer put the stickers on my car? I almost want to take them off if its not a true s line exterior? Help?

when you mentioned the fog area, good guess it's not an s-line.

the exterior badges are easy to come by. an exact s-line interior is costly compared to a few badges on the outside...perforated steering wheel(w/ badge), perforated shift knob, badged door sills...

I can take the front one off the grille but I guess I'll have to try and remove the ones on the doors... oh man... I wonder why they did that...

I suggest you post some pics in the following areas (for exterior features only):
- front bumper/fog
- door blades
- trunk lid
- rear valance
- overall side shot to see if it has sport suspension

where did you buy it? Did you pay for the "s-line" package?

Well the way you can for sure tell is what LAS mentioned. When you open your doors it should say S Line on the panel and the steering wheel should have a badge as well with red and grey stitching.

It illustrates the s-line vs. non s-line and should help you resolve which one you have. As for why the dealer did it... b/c everyone is looking for an s-line, so they put the badges on it. I would like to assume that this wasn't their intention, but you never know nowadays. My only hope is that if it is not an S-Line, they didnt charge you for one.

what the guys mentioned above will help u figure it out. also, what kind of rims do you have? if theyre 17 inch then you likely DO NOT have an s-line or you may have an a4 with the s-line appearance package. If they are 18 inch then you likely have a sweet s-line with all the goodies.

Here in México I have a 1.8T SLine (yes it is a 1.8T B7), with Sline badges, no Sline Bumper, Sline Seats (leather and upholstery combination), and some different things that you guys at US are used to.

i have an 08 with just the s-line exterior package with 17s, they didn't charge me extra for it.
but i paid extra for the premium package which includes leather interior and 17s and the sport suspension was also an extra $250.

OK .. I have read what everyone posted here and I called the dealer and he is clueless as to why they are on it...so he says... I hate to say it but I kind of like them on... but without getting bashed for keeping them on how do I remove the front grille one? Do I have to take the whole grille off? This is going to be a pain in the ass isn't it? Let me know what you guys think. Aside from that I added the rs4 style 18" x40 to my car, the chrome side mirrors and I am lowering it to the s line sport suspension look. I want to chip it and and add a new exhaust but just wondering about the badges? anyone?

personally I don't think it matters much.
the bottom line is what you think and/or want.
if you're ok with the badges on, then leave 'em on.
you should know by now people don't agree on everything all the time.
I've put S4 wheels on my A4 simply because they look good to me.
I don't care much if others agree with me or not.
as many people have said, it's your car, not anyone else's....you should keep it the way you want it
