    a6 2.7T wont start :(

Here is the deal. I have a 2003 A6 2.7T with 65K miles on it. I was on a long drive, about 10 miles away from home, I pulled into a rest stop and when I got back into my car it would not start. it would turn over, but the engine would not fire up. battery not dead either. So I called audi, and my roadside assistance got my car towed. It is sitting at the dealership, and they still do not have a clue what the problem is. the error code they pulled is: P1602, power supply low voltage.

The only symptoms I had in the past were:
    1) on 2 separate occassions the brake lights on my car would not sut off. But after a bit of playing around and driving they shut themselves off. This lasted less then 24 hours.
    2) on 2 separate occassions my ABS and ESP light went on, and then shut back off less then 24 hours later. The 1st time it happened I went to the dealership about 7 days later and they found nothing wrong. The second time it happened I did not bother going to the dealership.

I sure hope they can figure out what is going on. Have any of you heard of this problem. Audi has had my car since Thursday afternoon. They only started working on it Friday. got some kinda of relay on monday, but after putting it in the car still wont start. Now they are going to go wire by wire trying to find the problem. Thank God I have CPO. I can only imaging how much all this labor would cost me if i did not have it.

Could be related to the evil A6 brake light switch issue... http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=187359

P1602 is defiantly power related. Make sure they do a thorough battery check because a weak battery can mess a lot of things up, heres what I found.

    P1602
    18010
    Voltage supply, terminal 30

    Voltage too low
Check voltage supply for control module => Page AUDI-C5-FU04-28-001-0928-30

The brake light switch would cause your tail light not coming off even when turned off and loss of power/acceleration but not the NO START... battery and alternator fine?

do you have the APR chip with lock code program?
    Have a great day, Brice

no, no lock code installed, they are planning to check every wire, they think it is some kind of short. they say the ecm is not getting enough power
