ppl have complained of rubbing at 8.5"/45et while being lowered. If it were 45et on 8" rim, i'd be ALL over this. Just that extra half inch is what kills it for me.

maybe a special 8" set???? :D

Rubbing can be possible... We make our offsets quite conservatively and they will not rub at stock ride height. Some fender rolling will do the job.

I am running a 19x8.5 et45 w/ 225/35/19, lowered over 2"'s and have never rubbed.

ive also heard ppl on 35 series tires not rubbing or with minimal rubbing. but im lookin at 225/40's even at 18's. thats why im gearin towards the hartmanns. just to play it safe.

sucks cause i like the curvature of the vmr's

235/40/18 18x8 et 43 rubbed for 200 miles then no more. tire will take out as much fender lining as it can so it wont rub anymore. plus tire stronger than plastic fender lining.

planing to add 5mm or 8mm spacers in the rear to push the wheels out more.

Ok it has rubbed once with the wheels all the way to the right and i hit a pothole in a parking lot. Other than that never, honest.

Our wheels are approx 25lbs for 18". Our fitment listed above should not have any rubbing issues at all with stock ride height but some customers did have slight issues due to sloppy/old shocks and springs. If you do plan on lowering your vehicle with out setup, there should be minimal to no rubbing at all from what others said. If you do, a simple fender roll will do the job.

What does a "fender roll" mean?

Most vehicles come with a inner fender lip that is flat... which takes up more room inside the wheel well. What people do when they slam there cars or run aggressive wheel fitments, they must roll the fender, which means rolling the flat edge of the outside fender so it is not longer squared but now is rounded and the end result having extra room.

Heres a picture of a fender rolling tool. Its quite easy to do.

I'd like to add that if someone can figure out how to get your wheels exactly matched to the A3 Ti Gunmetal finish via powder coating than I will buy an 18" set tomorrow. I've been unable to find a PC vendor that can guarantee a match or even a close finish. I don't really have the time and not a fan of the shiny finish of the black or gunmetal finish offered by VMR. Anyone have any thoughts on matching the A3 Ti Wheel finish?

Chris, where would I go to find the paint code for the A3 Ti wheels. And how would I get a powder coated match. I'm 100% serious that if you figure this out I will be buying a set of these in 18" wheels. Unfortunately, I'm too lazy and un-resourceful to figure this out.

It all depends how LOW you will go. On a mediocre drop 18x8.5 wheels with 225/40/18s will NOT rub (1"-2" drop). I believe 18x8.5 45mm is the best suit for nice looking rims on A3

Yea, coilover drops usually rub. Springs are somewhat ok most of the time.

Correct! Like the previous poster said. You may use your OEM lug bolts. We designed the wheels to use stock hardware for our customers convenience and savings.
