    for an inexpensive shock/spring kit for my wife 2001 A6 2.7t? looking more for smooth ride and get rid of horrible wheel gap so we can install the 19 inch A8 rims in the garage. Thanks...

    Koni FSD+Eibach kit, its about $950, best ride your going to get with the car being lowered.

    have that ^ too and love it. YOu'll find cheaper but quality or ride will most liekly suffer. Yuo culd look at the classified section for used components.

    Also, check into the OEM sport spring set. They are very comfortable, not too low or hight.
