Tire punctures and warranty?

Hi everyone-

I bought a 2007 A4 back in September of last year. Three days ago I noticed I had something that looks like a nail in the side of rear/right tire. (No clue how that happened) I have the 17 inch Continentals. It's three days later and it looks like there's no air leak or any other damage to the tire.

Does anyone know if a replacement or a fix is covered by Audi or Continental?

Sounds to me like you're buying a new tire.

I have never heard of a warranty that takes care of running over a nail. Take it to les schuabb they will take care of it for you, it might even be free.

its only a tire....go patch the damn thing for $5....

If it's not in the actual tread of the tire, but on the sidewall, they can't repair it. The good news is that I had some irreperable damage to one of my 17" Goodyears and it was only $95 + $20 shipping to get a brand new one to match it from the Tire Rack, so I'm guessing the Conti's will be relatively cheap as well. Good luck, and I highly recommend you check out the Tire Rack if Discount Tire or whoever you go to locally tries to tell you they don't stock your tire (as they did with me).
