Hey guys do all the 2.7T cars have the large brakes up front or is it just on the sports package cars. I am, like everyone else, trying to get wheels for my car. I found some RS6 and RS4 replicas that fit bigger brakes but I want a different look. I see Gigi uses spacers do most of the aftermarket rims for our cars need spacers? Sorry bouncing all over the place with the question. All help is appreciated.

2000 - 2001 use the HP2 calipers (2 piston/ 4 pads per side), same as the B5 S4. 2002 and up A6's use the ATE calipers (single piston/ 2 pads per side). Most wheel vendors are refering to aftermarket BBK's such as Brembo, Stoptech, etc.

If you want you can check your car's options and see if you have the HP2 or the Ate calipers. There is also and offset difference between the two I believe (not sure though). The rotor hats are definitely different that's why I am assuming so.

    To check your options: http://prsearch.PlanetVAG.com

And here is a doc to the C5 brake otptions: http://www.vaglinks.com/Docs/Audi/C5...temOptions.pdf

wheels to fit over HP2's are a bit more difficult to come by, but they are available, you really need to make sure you get the right backspacing, took us 4 sets of wheels to get the ones we liked and the proper spacing.

yea i was kind of curious about my rotors, i want to upgrade but my car has brembo brakes up front. I bought it that way and i dont know if that was an optional thing or what. Does anyone know what size the rotors are possibly?
