    Going unitronics

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Went looking through some threads and finally changing over my GTRS tune.
Do I need to go through them directly or do they have dealers that can flash?

I'm a 2001 so far I've found I need 440cc injectors. Not sure who I will choose yet for them, depends on price.

    MKIV VR6 MAF

    AFPR-Set to about 4 bar?
I couldn't see a price for the tune on their website but I'm assuming it's about $700?

I've looked at Revo but they seem to almost be impossible to find a BT file for any 01.

    Re: Going unitronics

There's dealers. Go on their website there's a dealer locater by state.

034 is also a dealer. B/C of your location, a ship 'n tune might be easiest.

    Re: Going unitronics

INA on VWVortex can get you the tune. Talk with Jake (317ssayzarc) on this forum. He's a dealer for Unitronics. I know him personally.

I think you just need the VR6 housing but the 1.8T sensor for the MAF.

Stock FPR is 4 bar on the 2001.

    Psst INA here
Thats correct you only need the VR6 (2.75" ID) housing + the stock 1.8T sensor.

    What Turbo?

For the Elim you can run a 630cc injectors and file, which will give you room for future Turbo upgrades when it comes to fueling.

2001 is hands down the most tunable car when it comes to programming. You can with the Uni file delete the MAF, SAP, CEL from running a DP. You can adapt the TB to throttle modulate and lock like a DBC. Mike tunes in a fashion that brings tears of joy to my eyes I am nothing short of elated with my custom Uni file

    Re: Going unitronics

There is apprently so many versions of the 630cc file that there is one there already made to your specific hardware making it custom to your setup. I was told to run the 630cc as well instead of the 415/440.

The 630 file might be a bit of overkill, but I've heard from more than one user that the tune is B/A.
And as noted before, that leaves a lot open for future turbo plans.

Do you run a MAF? I wonder if unitronic will let me upgrade to the 630cc file with a MAF delete and they can get rid of my SAP code (I removed mine)
