Raced an M5 today!

Went riding today on my '97 CBR 600 and went out to a local lake. There is one road here that is pretty much abandoned and dead ends. It's probably 3/4 mile long, straight and flat. I get down to the end and there a dozen guys hanging out. The M5, an EVO 9, Pearl White C4 A6, Rousch Supercharged Mustang GT, half a dozen bikes and a quad. The Mustang raced the M5 and beat him so I wanted a piece of the action. I've always wanted to race an M5 against my bike. We went from a roll I was in 2nd gear at probably 6k rpms. I pulled immediately and got probably a 4 car length lead by the end of the road. I hit 120ish. Good times. I was expecting the M to be a bit closer to me actually.

Well it was just fun to run against such a fast car and see what the outcome was! E39 M5's are one of my favorite cars and I've always wanted run with one. It's all fun.

There are actually tons of car vs bike videos where the car wins if you look around. Even vs liter bikes, but that is like real jacked supras or turbo vipers but there are also turbo mustangs and such as well. Bikes really arent "that" fast top speed especially the 600s, so a fast car will be able to edge them up top even if they were slightly behind through the race. My R1 I had (just sold it) would do 171mph via GPS and my friends 1000rr did 169mph via the same gps (both bikes were indicating 185mph, but actual mph was the listed above), 600s were all in the 150s ACTUAL mph.
