Can VagCom monitor Boost?

Hi,

Is there a way to have Vagcom tell you how much boost your using while your actually driving?

Just to jump in here, is there a sticky anywhere for a thread that helps explain how to use vag and what it can do? Seems like these questions pop up about vag and there isn't a great spot to start for info (like newbie guides).

Just log block 115 to get boost. Log block 120 for HP and TQ. There are spreadsheets on the Ross-Tech site for this.

I was thinking of something a little more on the fly (similar to a boost guage, but through the PC).

Yes, you can do that. Simply graph it as you're logging

my first response was blant, boss. Reason being is that I stumble on a thread sometime ago, when I used to read a lot about Audi related posting. There were reports that some reads the boost while driving, and the reader is not stationary. Get a tool that is right for the job, that you do not have to change anything, and is reading directly from the source.

from what I know, you can log those blocks (mentioned above) and it will tell you how many mbars you are running then you do some conversion to psi.

i never heard of that graph thing, that was mentioned i need to look into that

boost gauge the way to go!

block 115 is requested and actual pressure.

you can see what your car is asking, and what it is getting.

you can setup a log very easily and put it into excel.

keep in mind that it reads in absolute pressure, not atmospheric. so you will need to subtract 14.7psi to find your real boost pressure.

1) Select Engine Control Module [01]
2) Click on Measuring Blocks [08] on bottom left
3) Under the Group column, type in "115" and click "Go!"
