    Oil temp senser ATW-AEB

Alright, so yesterday me and poopie swapped his built AEB engine into my 2000 ATW. And there is only one issue, the ATW has the oil temp sensor located on the oil pan, and AEB does not. Is there anyway for the sensor to work with the AEB engine, am I missing something here? Thanks.

How many connectors on the oil pan one? I would bet that it normally has a ground and a signal wire, so just need to find which wire is the signal and slap it onto the connector by the oil filter

redirect that feed wire to the oil filter flange small sender plug.

it is one connector, has 3 pins inside it. alright, i'll have to take a look at that little later, thanks creech. I am using all accessories from the atw, would that make a difference, just the block/head are aeb.

oh shoot 3 pin. the aeb's just have 2 separate wires, 1 for oil temp, 1 for oil press. hmm check each pin see which gives +12v, ground, then sender variable ground. hopefully tapping into sender variable ground will power up your temp gauge.

I think the easiest thing to do is to just swap pans.

Yeah, i thought about that after you said it, but I think I would rather just live with no oil temp until I can figure out a way to make it work, ha.

well the good thing is you coolant temp always rises before the oil. You can always get a stand alone gauge for temp as well.
