    Missfires...No Start..

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Every 2 days or so my car will not start. i will be driving the car fine all day running around town and such then i will park it for about 3-5 hours then it will crank over and almost start. the plugs are sparking, wet and i have compresion but the car wont start. if i let it sit for a few more hours around 7-9 then it will start up after a lot of cranks. the 2nd time this happened my check engine light came on flashing but they went away after about 2 miles of driving. i went to autozone and got a qucik scan and had missfires from every cylinder. i also notice the misfires happening when i really get on the car around 5800rpms or so. Im going to borrow my friends vag-com to get the actual codes, hopefully that will help out.
    TIA.

    Re: Missfires...No Start..

thats decent vacuum. thought you might have bent some valves for the inconsistent starting. run a compression test to see your motor condition. you said your plugs were wet...

Coolant temp sender over fueling on cold start would be my guess, change that and the plugs and you are golden

    Re: Missfires...No Start..

yeah any boost beyond 19 psi and high rpm it would studder and miss quite a bit. They just seemed to blow out. Then i switched to the boshe plugs and they were awesome on the street. They missed ever so slightly at 7500 on the dyno, but you would never feel it on the street. I think it had something to do with the way the dyno loads the drivetrain.
