Please help going crazy

I just bought a 2001.5 S4 from some old dude and after i get the car i realize that the center LED on the dash doesn't display whats supposed to be displayed. Now the PUSH CLUTCH TO START WILL POP UP AND ONLY THE OK after the car starts. Now is something not plugged in or shorted please help!!!!!!!

Yeah, if you turn the key forward but wait a second to start the car it'll give you that message, nothing to worry about.

you just have it turned off. the stalk on the right hand side, there's a buttom underneath. Push it.

Jokes aside, there is a button on the underside of your right steering stalk. Push it to turn the display back on.
